'Ghost Town' sensation Adam Lambert will return to the 'American Idol' stage very soon for a special live performance. 

The heartthrob was the season eight runner up, losing out to singer Kris Allen, but he continued to have an incredible career once his time on the show was over.

Since 2009 and his 'Idol' journey, Lambert has appeared on the popular TV drama series 'Glee', he has released three successful full-length albums, he appeared on 'Idol' as a guest judge, he has toured the globe - and continues to do so - with iconic rock outfit Queen, and he recently signed up to star in the TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show as the character Eddie. 

'American Idol' has now announced that he will appear on the programme, which is in its final series, on March 17 and tweeted the following message: "RETWEET if you're counting the minutes until @adamlambert returns to the #Idol stage on March 17!"
