Adam Lambert says he is excited about looking into his family's Romanian heritage when he visits the country this summer.

The singer will front Queen in Bucharest on June 21.

Speaking to Utv Romania, the US star revealed that he has family links to the country.

Lambert said: "I'm very excited to go to Romania, because my mother's side of the family - that's my heritage, and I've never been there before.

"I think either my mother's father or father's father [is Romanian]."

Queen and Lambert's gig will take place at the Bucharest Constitutiei Square.

It forms part of a wider summer European tour that will take in festivals and open-air gigs.
