Adam Lambert upset after Donald Trump uses Queen song at convention

Adam Lambert has revealed his disappointment after Donald Trump played a Queen track at this year's Republican National Convention.

The presidential candidate used 'We Are The Champions' at the event on Monday (July 18).

Lambert retweeted an article about Queen's presumed disappointment at the use of the song.

He also posted a pre-made picture of original Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury that read:

"If your political party spends decades treating gay people as second-class citizens, guess what:

"You don't get to use Freddie Mercury's music at your convention."

In June, guitarist Brian May said the band never gave Trump permission to use the song on TV spots.

Lambert meanwhile has been singing with Queen for the last few years.
