Adam Lambert on 'X Factor' judging role: 'I can relate to the pressures of being a contestant'

"Ghost Town" sensation Adam Lambert graces the cover of the latest Seven Days issue and in the accompanying interview he opened up about stepping into the role of judge on "The X Factor" in Australia.

He explained that he's great for the role because he can identify with how the contestants feel as they step out onto that stage for the first time: "I kept remembering what it felt like to be in their shoes, to walk into a room and be nervous, to be hopeful and have all this pressure on yourself to do well."

"I was 27 when I did my audition, so I auditioned a lot later than a lot of the other contestants (on Idol). I kind of relate to that idea that they've been watching the show for many years before they were finally ready."
