NEWS UPDATE: Adam Lambert reveals the name of his new album and single

Adam Lambert took to his Twitter (@adamlambert) last night to announce the name of his forthcoming album.

This evening (UK time), he announced that the first single from it will be called 'Better Than I Know Myself'. The news of which became the second highest trending topic on Twitter (#betterthaniknowmyself).

'Trespassing' will be the name of his second album and he says it will be released early in 2012:

"My album is called TRESPASSING -dropping Spring 2012"

He also told fans that there is a song on the album called 'Trespassing' that he wrote with The Neptunes and NERD star, Pharrell Williams.

Speaking about Williams, Lambert told OUT Magazine: "We had a really long conversation and it was interesting to get his perspective on where I was as a person and as an artist, because he’s someone that doesn’t know me—our lifestyles are very different—but he’s an incredible artist and a very intelligent guy and deep and spiritual as well."

He will announce the name of the first single later today and he will be presenting an award at American Music Awards this Sunday, the same awards where the 29-year-old caused controversy for the ABC network in 2009 by kissing a male member of his band onstage during a performance of 'For Your Entertainment'.

However, executive producer of the AMA has said that Lambert was "never banned from the show".
