Adam Lambert apologises to the LGBT community for "making generalisations"

Adam Lambert has apologised to the LGBT community for making "generalisations".

The vocal powerhouse took to Twitter today (April 26) to admit that he is "still learning" and that he sometimes states his opinions as fact. He tweeted:

"I'm still learning. Sometimes I state my opinions as fact and make generalizations. I apologize to the LGBT community. Great music is the key."

News broke yesterday (April 25) about an interview Lambert gave to Instinct magazine in which he appeared to suggest that the gay community is more receptive to gay female popstars than male ones.

Lambert's tweet engaged discussion on the issue, with one of his followers tweeting to him:

"I agree with what you said. Us gay guys are always in 'competition' with one another, while our girls are royalty."

To which Lambert replied: "Good point."
