Adam Lambert looking forward to indulging himself in Queen this summer

Adam Lambert says he wants to get an education in Queen when he heads out on tour with them this summer.

The singer is fronting the classic band for a number of shows later this year, including three nights at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lambert said that after briefly performing with them in the past, he is looking forward to getting to grips with their back catalogue - and he is hoping to hear a lot of rock n' roll tales from Brian May and Roger Taylor too. He said:

"When I auditioned for We Will Rock You in the States, I prepared songs like I Want To Break Free. I did my homework. Now I'm looking forward to spending time with Brian and Roger. I want to make myself familiar with their more obscure songs and hear some stories from the guys themselves. I'll get my own personal Queen documentary."
