Adam Lambert & Queen performed their first full live show in Ukraine last night at a free benefit concert to support the fight against AIDS.

The ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ star, who had previously teamed up with the legendary rock band at last year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, wowed the crowd at the Elton-John organised show in a mammoth 25-song set at Kiev's Independence Square.

Kicking off with ‘Seven Seas Of Rhye,’ the American Idol runner-up raced through some of their biggest hits, including ‘Don’t Stop Me Now,’ ‘Fat-Bottomed Girls’ and ‘Who Wants To Live Forever,’ before leaving the stage to allow Roger Taylor and Brian May take the vocals for several songs.

The 30-year-old then continued to prove he was the perfect choice of frontman on his return as he belted out the likes of ‘The Show Must Go On,’ ‘Radio Gaga’ and his favourite Queen classic, ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ as well as opening an emotive rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ which also featured a video of the late Freddie Mercury.

Finishing with a duet with Ukranian X-Factor winner Viktor Romanchenko on ‘We Will Rock You’ and a sing-along finale of ‘We Are The Champions,’ Lambert & Queen can now look forward to their remaining shows in Moscow, Wroclaw and London.
