Superstar Adam Lambert recently took part in a question and answer session with Classic Rock magazine for its 'The Best of 2012' feature and spoke about being accepted by iconic band Queen.

During the interview, the 'Trespassing' star was asked about performing with the legendary rock outfit and admitted that the 'age gap was intimidating' between himself and the original remaining members, but he felt very welcome while on stage with them:

"The generation gap and the difference in our nationalities were intimidating. But I remember sitting with Brian early on and the conversation got kind of abstract. I thought how cool it is we can talk about this stuff. Roger is funny and playful, and he's real nostalgic. They both said: 'You and Freddie would have giggled together. He would have gotten a kick out of you.' Then I felt accepted."

He also spoke about impersonating Freddie Mercury on stage and explained that he felt it would have been 'tacky' to do so: "I thought that would be really tacky. It's a really fine line, paying homage versus doing an impression."
