Adam Lambert doll hits $4k as charity auction nears end

A unique doll of Adam Lambert that is being auctioned for charity has smashed its expected price.

As previously reported, a special figure was recently made by Mattel designer Carlyle Nuera for an auction on website charitybuzz.

The auction is due to end on Tuesday (December 18) and its current value today (December 17) of $4,250 has far exceeded its guide price of $2,000.

The doll is based on his recent performances with iconic band Queen and it features a real leather jacket.

Information on the auction's webpage reads: "Inspired by Adam's performance with Queen at London's Hammersmith Apollo, Mattel designer Carlyle Nuera meticulously recreated every detail of Adam’s concert look, right down to the spiked epaulettes on his leather jacket! Yes, Adam doll is wearing a real leather jacket; leather-look pants, gloves and boots are all rock-star worthy!"

It continues: "The Adam Lambert doll features a hand-painted face in Adam's likeness and his signature tousled hairstyle. His mic is fully embellished with Swarovski crystals. Your original one-of-a-kind collectible comes with a certificate of authenticity, a rockin' display case, the bejeweled mic and mic stand shown."
