Adam Lambert nominated for GLAAD award

Adam Lambert has been nominated for the Outstanding Music Artist gong at this year's GLAAD Awards.

The GLAAD Media Awards' website says that they "recognise and honour media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives".

Lambert's 2012 album 'Trespassing' is up for their Music Artist award alongside Frank Ocean, Gossip, Rufus Wainwright and Scissor Sisters.

Other award nominees include the likes of Cloud Atlas and ParaNorman in the Outstanding Film - Wide Release category.

The 24th GLAAD Media Awards will take place over three events in March, April and May in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco respectively

GLAAD stands for Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, with the group having been active for over 25 years.
