Adam Lambert joins Sam Sparro and Nile Rodgers on stage

Adam Lambert took to the stage with Sam Sparro and Nile Rodgers last night (January 31) for a special rendition of his track 'Shady'.

The trio worked together on the studio version of the song, which featured on Lambert's 2012 album 'Trespassing'.

It had never been performed live by the three music stars before, but they decided to give it a bash at the We Are Family Foundation's celebration gala at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Lambert was also presented with a Unity award at the event, which celebrates acts who are "spreading peaceful messages through music".

The vocal powerhouse meanwhile recently 'donated' his 31st birthday to the Foundation, with fans donating money to the cultural diversity cause to be part of a massive birthday card.

A photo that Lambert posted via Instagram from last night's event can be seen below.
