Adam Lambert on his career: 'My integrity is more important than sales or success'

'Better Than I Know Myself' superstar Adam Lambert has spoken about his priorities as a recording artist and revealed that being commercially successful takes a backseat as it's not what he values the most.

During an interview with NewsRadio 1020 KDKA, the vocal sensation explained that he is more concerned with his integrity as a musician, out gay man and activist for the LGBT community than achieving record-breaking album sales. When asked if his gay rights activism poses a risk to his career, Lambert said:

"I figure in 15 years from now, 20 years from now, I don't want to look back with any regrets. You know, I want to do what I want to do. And ultimately that integrity is the thing that I think is more important than the immediate like sales or, you know, measurable success."

"And I also feel like, you know, between you and I, it's kind of a little bit fun to kind of rile people up."
