Adam Lambert thinks the charts are going to "explode" this year thanks to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

'Born This Way' star Gaga is releasing her comeback track on August 19 ahead of new album 'ARTPOP' on November 11.

Images of the eccentric songstress have been released in the run-up to her assault on the charts, and Lambert has been impressed by the star's mysterious behaviour ahead of the launch of her new music.

Taking to Twitter he wrote: "I gotta say... I'm gettin pumped for whatever @ladygaga is brewing. The new imagery is gorgeous (sic)."

Lambert also revealed his excitement for Perry's upcoming material.

He gushed: "And word on the street is that @katyperry 's new music is stellar. The charts are gonna explode this fall! (sic)."
