Adele pays herself over £7 million

Adele rewarded herself with a multi-million pay day last year.

Following the success of her record-breaking album ‘21’ and a string of hit singles, including ‘Rolling In The Deep’, ‘Someone Like You’ and ‘Set Fire To The Rain’, Adele’s company – Melted Stone – made a net profit of almost £14 million in 2013.

Melted Stone’s company accounts show that Adele paid herself a dividened of £7,199,000 in 2013 whilst in 2012 she was paid £2,086,214.

The ‘Skyfall’ songstress also paid over £5 million in tax last year.

Adele has previously spoken out about being in the 50% tax-paying bracket. She told Q magazine:

“Trains are always late, most state schools are s*** and I've gotta give you, like, four million quid – are you having a laugh?”

The British singer topped the Sunday Times Rich List of young musicians last year as her fortune totalled £30 million.
