Adele makes charity donation in lieu of taking part in Band Aid 30

Despite rumours concerning her involvement in the recording of Band Aid 30's charity single, Adele has not contributed vocals to the latest version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'

During yesterday's recording session (November 15) Band Aid organiser Bob Geldof told a reporter from The Sun about his attempts to contact Adele.

Geldof told The Sun: "Adele is doing nothing, she's not answering the phone. She doesn't want to be bothered by anyone... She's bringing up a family you know. Some people just don't think they can't make any impact by coming along."

In response to Geldof's claims about Adele's lack of participation, a representative for the 'Rolling In The Deep' star stressed that her involvement was never confirmed and she has made a donation to an Ebola-fighting charity.

Adele's spokesperson stated: "Bob and the organisers spoke directly with her management but at no point was she confirmed. Adele is supporting Oxfam's Ebola Appeal with a donation."
