Adele scrapped album about being a mum because it was 'boring'

Adele says she binned a record about being a new mother because it was too "boring".

The singer this week confirmed plans to release her third album '25' on November 20.

Today (October 23) lead single 'Hello' was unveiled and she stopped by BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw for a chat.

The Brit revealed that she originally wrote an album about motherhood - but it never made the cut.

Adele said: "I did write an album about being a mum but that's pretty boring. I scrapped that."

The singer became a mother for the first time in 2012 after giving birth to Angelo.

The 'Someone Like You' star said this week that her new record is less of a break-up album than her previous effort '21'.

She said: "My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold onto the crumbs of my past like I used to. What's done is done."
