Adele's comeback single 'Hello' could break US digital sales record

Adele's comeback single is in contention to break a US chart record.

The singer unveiled the track 'Hello' last week as the first tune from upcoming album '25'.

Its popularity was evident on a global scale, with Billboard revealing that the Brit's single shifted 450,000 digital copies in its first two days in the US.

This means that it could break the country's record for first-week digital sales.

Flo Rida's 'Right Round' achieved the record of 636,000 in 2009.

Adele's third album '25' meanwhile will be released on November 20.

Her last record '21' was unleashed in 2011 before selling millions across the globe.
