Adele celebrates Official Singles Chart hat-trick with 'Hello'

It seems there’s no stopping Adele’s 'Hello', as it claims its third consecutive week atop the Official Singles Chart today.

The track – which is the first to be lifted from the singer-songwriter’s upcoming third studio album '25' – has outsold its nearest competitor by over 34,000 combined chart sales this week. This week, 'Hello' – the current fastest-selling song of the year and UK’s one-week streaming record holder – also celebrates being certified Platinum by the BPI.

'Hello' is also this week’s most streamed track, racking up 4.7 million listens, while Justin Bieber’s 'Sorry' wasn’t too far behind, scoring 4.51 million plays. 'Sorry' remains at No.2 for a third week running, trailed by 2014 X Factor runner-up Fleur East with her debut 'Sax', at 3.

West London trio WSTRN, who are currently performing on the Official Charts After Party tour in association with New Look, score this week’s highest climber, up 56 places to No.4 with 'In2'. The three-piece take to the stage at the University Of Surrey, Guildford, tonight. WSTRN are trailed by MNEK & Zara Larsson’s 'Never Forget You' which hits a new chart peak at No.5.

Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora makes her UK Top 40 debut with Oasis cover 'Half The World Away' (11), which is used in this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert.

Coldplay score their 21st Top 40 with 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' – the first single from upcoming seventh studio album 'A Head Full Of Dreams' (14), while Jess Glynne notches up her eighth with official Children In Need single 'Take Me Home' (20).

Finally, Justin Bieber scores a 29th UK Top 40 single with 'I’ll Show You' (32), as One Direction claim their 18th with 'History' (37).
