Adele has confirmed a string of 2016 European tour dates.

The singer will hit the road for the first time since 2011 to play arenas across the continent.

The tour will open in February with a number of shows in the UK and Ireland in cities such as Belfast, Glasgow and London.

There will be further European shows in the likes of Hamburg, Barcelona and Paris.

Tickets for the shows, which come in support of Adele's newly released third album '25', go on sale from 9am on December 4.
