Adele and Taylor Swift are big winners at BBC Music Awards 2015

Adele was the big winner at this year's BBC Music Awards.

The singer won two prizes at the Genting Arena event in Birmingham on Thursday (December 10).

She picked up the British artist of the year and BBC live performance of the year gongs.

Adele couldn't attend the event, but she said via video: "That's amazing. I've only just put out new music. I'm so chuffed."

The Brit released her long-awaited third album '25' in November.

Taylor Swift won the International Artist award, with the singer also saying through video:

"Oh my God, this is really heavy. I really appreciate you guys shipping this out, because it must have cost a lot."

Hozier's 'Take Me To Church' landed the song of the year prize, while Jack Garratt went home with the BBC Introducing prize.
