Adele's 'Hello' spends eighth week at No.1 in the US

Adele's comeback single 'Hello' has now spent two months at No.1 in the US.

The singer released the track recently as the first cut from new album '25'.

Billboard have now confirmed that it has spent its eighth week at the top of their singles chart.

It is now tied with Mariah Carey's 'Fantasy' for the fourth-longest run at the top of the list.

Carey's 1995 hit 'One Sweet Day' currently holds the longest ever reign of the chart with a total of 16 weeks.

Adele's 2011 effort 'Rolling In The Deep' was the Brit's previously longest running No.1 in the States at seven weeks.

The singer's new album '25' meanwhile has just become the top selling record in the US since 2011.

Her last effort '21' is the album that is outselling it.
