Adele's 'Hello' has topped the US singles chart for a ninth week

Adele's 'Hello' has stayed put at the top of the US singles chart for a ninth week in a row.

The singer now has her longest ever stay at the summit of the Billboard list.

The tune is the longest leading female track on the chart since Lorde's 'Royals', which stayed put at No.1 for nine weeks in 2013.

Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' is placed at No.2, while the Canadian is also No.3 with 'Love Yourself'.

Adele's new album '25' meanwhile is also No.1 in the States.

It sold another 1.15 million units in the last week to maintain its spot at the top of the chart.
