Adele's '25' stays put this week at No.1 on UK albums chart

Adele has topped the UK albums chart for a sixth week in a row.

The singer released her third record '25' on November 20 and it has stayed put at No.1 ever since.

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (January 1) that the album is 3,000 copies ahead of its nearest rival - Elvis Presley's 'If I Can Dream' - in the UK.

Adele's '25' has similarly topped the US albums chart since its release.

Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' stays put at No.3, with Jess Glynne's 'I Cry When I Laugh' up one to No.4.

This week's top five is rounded off by One Direction's 'Made in the A.M.', which has risen three places.

Taylor Swift’s '1989' has enjoyed a Christmas boost, with the record rising from No.18 to No.8.

James Bay’s 'Chaos And The Calm' has jumped seven places to No.10.
