Adele brushes off Grammys sound issues: 'Sh*t happens'

Adele has explained why her performance at this year's Grammys sounded a little off.

The singer took to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday (February 15) to run through her track 'All I Ask'.

However, there appeared to be unusual noise emanating during the performance, with some suggesting it may have been guitar warming up on an adjacent stage.

Many watching fans remarked that Adele wasn't quite at her usual best as a result of the mishap.

Speaking on Twitter after the show, the Brit said that microphones on her accompanying piano weren't working right.

She said: "The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was.

"It made it sound out of tune. Sh*t happens. Because of it though...I'm treating myself to an in n out. So maybe it was worth it."

At the end of her performance Adele paid tribute to Kendrick Lamar, who delivered a rousing performance earlier in the night.

She said: "I love you Kendrick. You're amazing."
