Glastonbury boosts Adele back to No.1 on UK albums chart

Adele has shot back to No.1 on the UK albums chart after headlining the Glastonbury Festival at the weekend.

The Official Charts Company confirmed that the singer's 2015 effort '25' today (July 1) returned to the top of the pile.

It rose 13 places to spend a thirteenth week at No.1 in the UK.

The Brit's second album '21' also rocketed up 57 places to No.10.

At No.2 this week is Coldplay's 'A Head Full of Dreams', which has risen three places since the band also performed at Glastonbury.

ELO - who performed at the festival too - are up four places to No.3 with 'All Over The World'.

Rick Astley's previous chart-topper '50' drops to No.4, while Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' completes the top five.

Neil Young & Promise Of The Real meanwhile are a new entry at No.14 with 'Earth'.

Rihanna - who has been in the country on her Anti tour - is up 15 places to No.21.
