Adele's tour rakes in $150m already

Billboard have placed Adele's current tour at No.1 in their Hot Tours Chart based on tickets sold through the first week in October.

The tour kicked off in February 2016 but will still continue through November which means that its total gross profits will be more than $150m (£122m).

Adele's Live 2016 Tour promotes her recent album, '25'. The singer-songwriter has now performed in front of around 150m fans.

Billboard reports that box office grosses from the first 15 arenas on the current U.S. and Canadian stretch amount to $67.5 million, from 41 performances reported during the past week.

Over 60,000 tickets were sold in those 15 venues, including 118,149 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The tour started officially in Belfast on February 29 with the first US date on July 5. Prior to the February 29 date, Adele played a show in L.A.'s Wiltern Theatre on February 12 just before the Grammys.
