Adele has revealed the reason she got choked up at the end of her performance at last night’s BRITs.

The singer, who received a standing ovation for her emotional rendition of ‘Someone Like You,’ said she was imagining her ex-boyfriend laughing at her.

“I was really emotional by the end because I’m quite overwhelmed by everything anyway,” she told ITV2. “Then I had a vision of my ex, of him watching me at home and he’s going to be laughing at me because he knows I’m crying because of him.”

The soul singer is currently No.1 in 17 countries and is hopefully having the last laugh today.
