Adele matches George Michael's U.S albums chart record

Adele has become the first British artist in 23 years to spend an impressive 12 weeks at No.1 in the U.S albums chart and she achieved the incredible feat with her record breaking '21'.

The 'Set Fire To The Rain' superstar has now matched George Michael, who enjoyed the same success in America back in 1988 with his debut solo album, 'Faith'.

In addition to this, Adele's sophomore album '21' recently became the biggest selling digital album in the U.S after outdoing Eminem's 'Recovery' by shifting a phenomenal 1.017 million copies.
