Adele returns to the top of the albums chart with '21'

Vocal sensation Adele has returned to the top of the official UK Top 40 Albums Chart this week with her well-loved sophomore record, '21'.

The songstress managed to beat off tough competition from Jason Mraz, who landed a midweek No.1 with his new release 'Love Is A Four Letter Word'. Mraz's offering has now charted respectably at No.2.

Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey's major label debut 'Born To Die' has climbed 2 positions to No.4, Jessie J's 'Who You Are' has dropped 1 place to No.5 and Train's 'California 37' has entered this evening (April 22) at No.10.

Rocker Bruce Springsteen has made a significant impact on the albums chart tonight as 'Wrecking Ball' has moved up an impressive 16 places to sit comfortably at No.14.

John Legend's first album, 'Get Lifted', has also reappeared and entered at No.31 following two contestants' performances of 'Ordinary People' on The Voice UK recently.
