NBC confirms exclusive one-hour 'Adele Live in London with Matt Lauer' show

Vocal sensation Adele will take part in a one-hour NBC special called 'Adele Live in London with Matt Lauer' next month.

Sony Music Entertainment issued an official statement on the upcoming broadcast earlier today (May 10) and revealed that she will sit down for an exclusive interview with the newscaster to talk about the incredible success she has enjoyed off the back of her record-breaking album, '21'.

The special will air on June 5 at 8pm EST and is also set to include several performances from her stunning 'Adele Live At The Royal Albert Hall' DVD.

Doug Vaughan, SVP of Special Programs and Late Night for NBC, said of the feature: "We are thrilled to partner with Adele on her first-ever network special and are excited to give our viewers an opportunity to see this truly influential artist perform live, in her hometown, from the historic Royal Albert Hall in London."

The statement confirmed that the live performances will be of 'Hometown Glory,' 'I'll Be Waiting,' 'Set Fire to the Rain,' 'Chasing Pavements,' Someone Like You,' and 'Rolling in the Deep.'

She also took to Twitter 2 days ago and explained that some of the rumours that appeared just after her birthday definitely aren't true: "Had a lovely birthday, thanks for all the messages. I got a blossom tree! I didn't get a cake from Rih Rih & I'm not engaged, blah blah x"
