Adele hits back at weight critics

Adele has revealed that she would only lose weight if it affected her "health or sex life".

The singer's size has often been the talk of many, with fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld this year famously calling her a "little too fat".

In an extract from forthcoming book Adele: The Biography, the singer said that she once saw a YouTube comment about pies that she thought would insult her - but it didn't have any effect. The 'Rolling In The Deep' star said:

"I read a comment on YouTube that I thought would upset me - 'Test pilot for pies' - but I've always been fine with it. I would only lose weight if it affected my health or sex life, which it doesn't."

Another extract sees the singer talk about heartbreak songs, adding: "When I was a girl, I loved love songs, the ones about horrible relationships. Ones that made you cry."
