Adele producer denies 10 minute recording

Adele's 'Skyfall' collaborator Paul Epworth has denied that the track was recorded in just 10 minutes.

The producer recently spoke about how effortless the British songstress made the music process, revealing that "within 10 minutes she [had] put down most of the vocals" for the 007 soundtrack.

However, Epworth has now stated that his earlier comments were taken "out of context".

He took to Twitter to confirm: "Ok ok. Can I clarify this. Adele didn't record her final skyfall vocal in 10 minutes (sic). We cut the first draft of the verse and chorus. It took us a while to hone the track into the end result.

He added: "Don't you just love it when things are taken out of context."

Epworth previously gushed about working with the acclaimed star on the hit Bond song.

He said: "[The movie producers] said they wanted a dramatic ballad basically... and I rang her up and said, 'It might be too dark'. And she said she loved it. Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. She had the lyrics ready in her head when she drove over. It was the most absurd thing. She's fast, but it was really quite phenomenal."
