Adele dedicates Golden Globe win to new son

Adele made her first public appearance in months last night (January 13) as she collected a Golden Globe.

The singer landed the award for her Skyfall theme, which won Best Original Song at the glitzy TV and film awards.

She even dedicated the win to her newborn son, despite the star not yet been officially confirming his birth, which was reported to have taken place in October.

Adele kept out of the limelight for much of 2012 after announcing that she was pregnant but looked in good spirits at the ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles.

Speaking as she collected her award, the 'Rolling In The Deep' star said: "Honestly I've come here for a night out! I was not expecting this...thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. I've been p***ing myself laughing."

She continued: "This is for my boyfriend who convinced me to do it and for my lovely son."

Talking on the red carpet before the show, Adele said that "motherhood is lovely", but declined to give the name of her son.
