Adele wins Best Original Song Oscar for 'Skyfall'

Vocal sensation Adele wowed the audience at tonight's (February 24) Oscars with a stunning rendition of her Bond theme, 'Skyfall'.

She took the stage later in the ceremony to perform the track, which she also won a Golden Globe for earlier this year, and was accompanied by an orchestra for the song.

The British songstress was also crowned the winner of the Best Original Song category and gave an incredibly emotional speech, in which she thanked her boyfriend: "Thank you so much, this is amazing [...] Thank you my man, I love you baby."

Songwriter Paul Epworth joined her onstage to collect the trophy and praised Adele for being on the track, adding that she is "the best person I've ever worked with".

She was nominated alongside 'Before My Time' from Chasing Ice, 'Everybody Needs A Best Friend' from Ted, 'Pi's Lullaby' from Life of Pi, and 'Suddenly' from Les Misérables.
