George Michael was told this morning at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court that he could be facing jail, after admitting to driving under the influence of cannabis, and crashing into a branch of Snappy Snaps in Hampstead.

The singer, whose real name is Georgios Panayiotou, was arrested last month and has pleaded guilty to the charge, as well as posession of cannabis. 

 Officers suspected Michael had taken drugs after they noticed his dilated pupils and "spaced out" demeanour. He was then taken to Hampstead police station, where officers found two cannabis joints on him. A blood test later confirmed that Michael was under the influence of cannabis. He had not been drinking alcohol.

District Judge Robin McPhee told him, "I make it clear the options in respect of sentence remain open, including the power to imprison. It is a serious matter. Your driving was extremely poor and there was an accident. There is also a conviction from three years ago."

Michael was handed an interim six-month driving ban and is set to be sentenced next month on September 14.

Kimberely Walsh has revealed that she misses being with her Girls Aloud band members and is keen for them to regroup.

The 'Suck My Pop' presenter told OK! Magazine, "I will get excited (when we reunite) because we do miss each other and as much as it's crazy mayhem it is good fun and it is nice having the girls to support you."

She continued, "It's different being on your own. Bittersweet - there's good and bad to everything, isn't there?"

Walsh added, "I just love performing and I also really like working. So although we're supposed to be having a bit of a break, I don't want to rest too much, because I get bored."

The singer's bandmate Nicola Roberts recently announced that Girls Aloud are set to regroup at the end of this year to discuss their future.

Katy Perry has ruled-out starting a family with her fiancé Russell Brand right now, because she says that her career comes first.

Although she recently joked that Russell wants 11 kids, Katy says that she has no plans to have children anytime soon.

"I see myself as a professional right now and hopefully when I decide it's time for children, I'll be able to devote myself to that," she said.

On Brand, Perry revealed, "I have always been open to someone who would really challenge me emotionally, spiritually and mentally and he really covers those bases. And we both have a sense of humor. We play practical jokes on each other."

Perry and the comedian are planning to wed later this year.

The popstar explained, "I'm coming back (to Ireland) for my tour next year - dates to be released in September, and venues to be released in September. It's going to be February more than January that I perform in Ireland so I'm really looking forward to it."

The singer is also set to appear at next month's Help For Heroes Concert, headlined by Robbie Williams. The benefit concert for servicemen and women will be held at the Twickenham Rugby Stadium in London on Sunday 12th September. 

Some 150 personnel injured in combat will attend the show free of charge, while members of the public are being given the chance to purchase 1,000 extra tickets for other servicemen through the Tickets For Troops charity. Some 60,000 fans and troops are expected to attend the event.

Proceeds will go to the Help For Heroes charity, which raises funds for wounded service personnel and their families.

Eminem has admitted that the reported beef between his close friend 50 Cent and Kanye West regarding the chart battle in 2007, wasn't real.

The rap superstar has revealed that it was purely a publicity stunt to sell more copies of their albums.

"Me and 50 never discussed the Wayne thing," Mathers told Vibe Magazine.

He continued, "As far as the Kanye thing, we never really got into detail on that either. I never took it as him having a real beef with Kanye. It was a friendly competition and hype to (promote) both albums."

The singer will be in the country for the first time since supporting Coldplay with Girls Aloud at Wembley Stadium last year in September.

Yesterday the media reported that the Irish star has signed a solo deal with supermarket giant, Tesco, permitting them to exclusively sell her album in their stores and allowing her complete control over the record. 

The date of the untitled album is still to be confirmed but expected to be released later in November.

Speaking about the album, Caleb said, "We're already plenty rich, we don't need it. We're like thousand-aires - multiple thousands, multiple."

"And all the people that only know us from the last record - which is quite a few people - we wanted to show them a little bit of our background and the kind of music that we've been trying to make all the while."

The singer went on to say, "The other night there was someone on the front row and we had played a new song, and then we played 'Trani' which is off our first album. I saw the girl look at another girl and say, 'Is this another new song?' So it's like a lot of them don't know the difference."

The popstar explained, "Russell's house in London was dark, gothic and quite sinister. My apartment was like Candyland, every room in a different pastel and very over the top. He didn't want to live in a cracked-out fairyland and I didn't want to live in a goth house, so it's a balancing act."

She continued, "We did agree to call our cat Krusty: it's a combination of our names. That was the easiest decision so far."

The singer took to her Twitter page recently to dismiss reports of legal action over her use of lyrics similar to the Beach Boys' 'California Girls' on her hit "California Gurls."

"No one is suing anyone," Perry posted. Her tweet also complained that the press likes to "fabricate and exaggerate" stories.

"I would love to take her out for dinner. It would be great if she could come to one of my concerts, then we could hang out afterwards," he said about the English actress (who at 20-years-old, is four years older than himself).

The Canadian rapper continued, "I love the fact she is one of the biggest female movie stars, but has chosen to go back to college. It shows she is really grounded and normal."

Black Eyed Peas' Fergie and The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford were voted second and third place.

Other stars in the top ten included Cheryl Cole, Diana Vickers, Ellie Goulding and Lily Allen.

Viagogo's UK country director Edward Parkinson said, "It seems Pixie Lott is stealing Cheryl Cole's crown as this summer's festival princess."

Last month Lott headlined a charity gig for wounded troops at Twickenham Stadium, alongside Robbie Williams and Peter Kay. This weekend she is set to play the main stage at the V Festival this weekend.
