American pop star Katy Perry has announced that her forthcoming second album is called 'Teenage Dream'.

The singer, whose new single 'California Gurls' is currently streaming from her official website, recently admitted that her record is best described as a "guilty pleasure".

News of the album's title was reported from Music Network, who listed the LP's Australian release date as August 27.
