Katy Perry and fiance Russell Brand have had matching tattoos etched onto their arms. The couple - who got engaged while holidaying in India in December - have had Anuugacchati Pravaha, a Sanskrit phrase which means "go with the flow".

Perry revealed hers for the first time this week when she performed at the launch of the Volkswagen 2011 Jetta car in New York's Times Square.

As well as the matching body art, Perry has the word Jesus on her wrist and revealed that she has often contemplated paying homage to late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury by having his face inked on her back. "I nearly got a huge tattoo of Freddie Mercury's face on my back a few years ago. It's probably for the best that I didn't get it done, but I still want to do it."
