Superstar Madonna and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes are set to launch a junior fashion line called Material Girl on August 3, which will be sold exclusively at Macy's department stores in the States. 

The line is to include apparel, footwear, jewellery and handbags and prices will range from $12 (£8) to $40 (£27).

"I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste," she said. "We like to combine… a plaid or a flannel with a lace, or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine." 

Madonna previously released a fashion line of her own for H&M in 2007.
