American pop group The Scissor Sisters have revealed that they insisted popstar Kylie Minogue join them when they performed at Glastonbury Festival last weekend.

The singer accompanied them on stage at the Somerset event and the band also wanted her to party with them once their set had ended.

"I told Kylie, ‘Honey, you have to come out with us'," Jake Shears said. "To have convinced her to party would’ve been a miracle. We would have had to have put a burka on her, or a really bad wig."

Scissor Sisters released their new album 'Night Work' on Monday.
