Katy Perry has told Q Magazine that she loves Oasis and that she has been keen to find out more about the British rockers from her fiancé Russell Brand, who's close friends with the former guitarist and songwriter, Noel Gallagher.

She said, "I've met Noel Gallagher a few times but we haven't been in London a lot recently. I'm a big fan of Oasis, though I don't know the catalogue front to back."

Referring to the band's rivalry with Blur during the 90s, Perry said, "Russell schooled me on that whole battle between Oasis and Blur, so at least I wasn't going to make a faux pas there."
