Chris Moyles takes a pop at rival radio show host Nick Grimshaw

Chris Moyles has only just begun his new role at Radio X, but the breakfast show host has already taken a pop at rival radio host, Nick Grimshaw.

Grimmy was brought in to replace Moyles on BBC Radio One to attract a younger audience.

Now, the two funny men are battling it out for listeners, with Moyles reinstated as a breakfast show host on the recently relaunched Radio X.

However, during a recent interview with Noel Gallagher (pictured below), the Oasis and High Flying Birds man told Moyles that his children preferred Grimmy to him, to which he replied: "Why would you do that to them?"

Moyles added: "I didn’t hear from him today actually. I would have put money on the fact I would have got a text from him but I didn’t. Greg James sent me a nice text yesterday saying, “Good luck, it’s great to have you back.”

#MoylesIsBack became a top trending topic on Twitter, with many taking the time to voice their movement in listenership over to Radio X from BBC Radio One.

Radio X is available across the UK on the digital radio platform D1, as well as on 104.9FM in London and 97.7FM in Manchester.
