Joe Jackson continues to recover after his recent stroke

Joe Jackson, father of the late Michael Jackson, continues to recover after his stroke according to his grandson, Taj Jackson.

Taj Jackson said: "Prognosis is good. He's strong and at the same time he's got Jackson hard-headedness of like when you're supposed to take it easy, not taking it easy. So that's the only thing I worry about."

The 87-year-old had a stroke in Brazil at the end of July.

Taj, along with brothers TJ and Taryll Jackson, sons of Tito, one of the original Jackson Five, spoke at an event promoting their reality docuseries, 'The Jacksons: Next Generation'. He continued:

"I think my uncle would be proud of the show because we're honest and real and I think he knows at the core we're all about family and love

"I think sometimes you have to show your wounds and your imperfections so people can relate to it."

Michael Jackson's children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, and mother, Katherine Jackson, are also featured in the Lifetime series premiering this Friday (October 2).

Michael Jackson's brother, Jackie Jackson, recently revealed that he would love a duet with former One Direction singer, Zayn Malik.
