Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh has joked about the band's appearance back when they favoured the Oompa Loompa look because they used to slap on too much fake tan.

The 'Suck My Pop' presenter said, "All five of us used to look pretty Tangoed, it’s so cringey. There was one time we were all so tired we said, ‘We’re not getting our hair and make-up done, we’ll do it ourselves so we can get up an hour later’.

She joked, "Then we went on TV but it really wasn’t pretty viewing. We all looked like shiny, sweaty, orange heads."
