Kelly Rowland shoots 3D video

In support of her latest U.S. single 'Rose Coloured Glasses,' Kelly Rowland has shot a 3D video directed by fashion photographer Rankin.

Rowland says, "The inspiration behind the song is just my real life. The song was actually produced by Dr Luke and written by Easter Dean."

Rankin, who has previously worked with Madonna, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, said, "It's a very emotional song. You have this theme of looking at the world in an optimistic way from the outside."

"I've shot a lot of videos, but this one is probably the most intriguing in the sense of how it's shot, the lighting, everything is so detailed," quipped Rowland.

These effects will support the video's concept of Rowland failing to notice that she is in a dysfunctional relationship.

'Rose Coloured Glasses' will feature on her currently untitled album, which is scheduled for release in 2011.
