Justin Bieber has been in talks with Will Smith about appearing in a new movie.

According to MTV News, the Canadian teen star spoke to Smith when he was collaborating with his son Jaden for the Karate Kid theme song.  

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, confirmed the news on Twitter, by writing, "A fictional piece that may have some similarities to his (Bieber's) life."

The film is reportedly due to start filming in 2011.

The teenage heartthrob has already made his acting debut in CSI. The episode airs on CBS next week on September 23.
