Victoria Beckham says husband David Beckham is 'inspirational'

Victoria Beckham has described husband David Beckham as an "inspiration" following his honour at the UNICEF Ball.

The 41-year-old, who was unable to be at the star studded event, sent her husband a message of support on being presented with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award for his work helping children through his Seven Foundation.

The fashion designer posted a black and white Instagram of her husband on the red carpet at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

The image was captioned: “We r so proud of @davidbeckham receiving the @UNICEFUSA humanitarian leadership award at the #UNICEFball X.

“You are an Inspiration to so many people with the incredible work you do, we love u so much Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper x.”

Beckham was presented with the award by his friends, Elton John and David Furnish. Beckham said, on receiving the award:

"We live in a world where children are still dying of preventable diseases, or being subjected to abuse and violence.

"I have four children of my own and I will not stop supporting UNICEF until I know that all children are safe, healthy and have a bright future ahead of them."

Nicole Kidman, Mariah Carey, Heidi Klum and Miranda Kerr were also in attendance.
