Eminem on being bullied

Rapper Eminem has revealed that he endured bullying as a child.

The “8-Mile” star explained on 60 Minutes that he was chronically the ‘new kid’ at school and was picked on because of it.

"I would change schools two, three times a year and that was probably the roughest part," he said to Anderson Cooper.

“[I got] beat up in the bathroom, beat up in the hallways, shoved in the lockers, just, for the most part, being the new kid."

The rapper explained that he found solace in hip hop, but faced further taunts for being a white kid in a predominantly black scene. He also said that although he had not received adequate education, he improved his own English skills by scouring dictionaries to help his lyrics.
