No Libertines for a year

In an interview with Q Magazine, Carl Barat has said that he won’t have time to work with fellow Libertine Pete Doherty for at least a year due to touring and fatherhood.

Barat’s been a busy lad lately; he has a baby on the way, has written a book and has just released his solo-album which he said was influenced by the work of film director Tim Burton.

His book ‘Threepenny Memoir: The Lives of a Libertine’ documents the rise and fall of the Libertines and has received rave reviews from the press.

Barat’s eponymous debut album is out now and he will be touring throughout the UK and Europe from October 15.
