Fans Twitter Westlife album title

Irish boy band Westlife have named their 11th studio album, ‘Gravity’, after a fan suggested the title on Twitter.

Singer Kian Egan, 30, said: “We are going to do something special for that fan but we haven’t decided what yet.

“It’s hard to believe this is our 11th album but performing is our passion and it would seem like throwing it all away if we stopped."

The group worked with producer John Shanks on the new LP, whose credits include Take That’s ‘Beautiful World’, ‘Circus’ and their forthcoming new album ‘Progress’, which features the return of Robbie Williams.

When asked if Westlife have considered the possibility of reuniting with Brian McFadden, who left the band in 2004, Egan said: “Both us and Take That go for epic pop songs but them taking Robbie back hasn’t made us think about Brian McFadden returning. It would feel odd to have a fifth person back on stage with us.”

The band’s new single has already been entertaining the X Factor finalists during auditions for the live shows, thanks to Simon Cowell (who manages the boy’s record label). Talking about Cowell, Egan said: “He’s now a worldwide superstar but he’s still the same person we first knew”.

The singer also revealed he would love to sit next to the music mogul as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, adding:

“I’d love to replace Piers Morgan on Britain’s Got Talent but I don’t think Simon would think much of me.”

‘Gravity’ is released on November 15, preceded by new single ‘Safe’ on November 8.
